Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Calma Pilates ("Calma," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website, services, classes, memberships, packages, and facilities. By accessing our website, booking a class, purchasing a package or membership, or attending a session, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Eligibility

Clients must be at least 18 years old to book and attend sessions unless written consent is provided by a parent or legal guardian. Minors must be supervised or enrolled in approved programs.

3. Health & Medical Disclaimer

Pilates and fitness instruction involve physical activity that may carry risk of injury. By participating in any Calma Pilates service, you represent that:

  • You are physically able to participate in Pilates and related fitness activities.

  • You have disclosed all relevant medical conditions, injuries, pregnancies, or limitations prior to participation.

  • You understand that Calma Pilates is not a medical provider and does not offer medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

You agree to consult a physician before beginning any new exercise program. Participation is at your own risk.

4. Assumption of Risk & Waiver of Liability

You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in classes, private sessions, workshops, or use of equipment at Calma Pilates. To the fullest extent permitted by California law, you release, waive, and hold harmless Calma Pilates, its owners, instructors, employees, and contractors from any and all claims, injuries, damages, or losses arising from participation, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.

5. Booking, Cancellations & No-Shows

  • All sessions must be booked in advance through our app or online scheduling system.

  • Cancellations must be made at least 8-hours prior to the scheduled class or session unless otherwise stated.

  • Late cancellations or no-shows may result in forfeiture of the session and/or a late fee.

  • Calma Pilates reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes due to instructor availability, low enrollment, or unforeseen circumstances.

6. Packages & Memberships

  • Class packages and memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable unless otherwise stated in writing.

  • Expiration dates apply to all packages and memberships.

  • Unused sessions do not roll over beyond the stated expiration date.

  • Pricing and package terms are subject to change at any time.

7. Payments

All purchases must be paid in full at the time of booking. We accept approved payment methods through our scheduling platform. You authorize Calma Pilates to charge your selected payment method for all purchases, late fees, and applicable charges.

8. Retail & Coffee Purchases

Calma Pilates offers retail items including, but not limited to, apparel, accessories, wellness products, and beverages. All retail purchases are subject to availability and may be modified or discontinued at any time without notice.

All prices are listed in local currency and are subject to applicable taxes.

8a. All sales final. Unless otherwise required by law or explicitly stated at the time of purchase:

  • All retail, food, and beverage sales are final

  • No refunds or credits are provided for retail items or beverages

  • Exchanges for non-food retail items may be permitted at the sole discretion of Calma Pilates and must be unused, unworn, and in original condition with tags attached

Food and beverage items, including coffee and tea, are not eligible for returns or exchanges.

8b. Food & beverage disclosure. Calma Pilates prepares coffee and beverages in a facility that may process or store common allergens, including but not limited to milk, nuts, soy, and gluten.

  • Ingredient lists may vary

  • We do not guarantee an allergen-free environment

  • Customers are responsible for informing staff of any allergies or sensitivities prior to purchase

Consumption of food and beverages is at the customer’s own risk.

8c. No medical or health claims. Retail products, supplements, beverages, and wellness items sold at Calma Pilates are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Customers should consult a qualified healthcare provider with any health-related questions.

8d. Loss, damage, or theft. Calma Pilates is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged retail items once they have been purchased and removed from the point of sale.

8e. Right to refuse service. Calma Pilates reserves the right to refuse or cancel any retail or beverage transaction in cases of suspected fraud, misuse, or violation of studio policies.

8f. Calma Pilates may update or modify these Retail & Coffee Sales Terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted in-studio and/or on our website and will apply to purchases made after the effective date.

9. Personal Property

Calma Pilates is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items. Please keep valuables with you at all times.

10. Intellectual Property

All website content, branding, class formats, images, text, and materials are the intellectual property of Calma Pilates and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without written permission.

11. Website Use

You agree not to misuse our website or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or data. We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

12. Privacy

Your use of our website and services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

13. Changes to Terms

Calma Pilates reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
